Hi, I’m Maggie Burns welcome to my blog. I write about moments in ordinary life that make me stop and think. Sometimes those thoughts are about nature or friendships, really whatever ideas are bubbling around my mind and would benefit from reflection so I can make sense of them. I hope my writing finds resonance with you.
The title of my blog comes from my favourite poet Patrick Kavanagh and his poem ‘Advent’
wherever life pours ordinary plenty.
won’t we be rich, my love and I, . . .
To me that is an invitation to relish the joy in the everyday.
I’m a proud Dub who loves her city, it’s culture and writers. I’m keenly interested in Celtic Spirituality and nature. I work with older people and am fascinated about how to age well, not cosmetically but meaningfully. You’ll find posts here about my family and friends, and my much missed Cocker Spaniel, Monty Burns.
